I'm going with the air hostess idea!!!!!

idea....

People dressed as Lastminute.com air hostesses get onto the underground......
they recite an air hostess style speech about the website, include some air hostess safety procedure actions... hand out booking procedure cards illustrated in the style of the safety procedure cards you get on planes.. also include latest offers on the back of these cards.

or one more idea! POST-ITS

Put up huge post-its, or loads of little ones reminding people to book their holidays......

Idea 3.... WEB CAMS.....

Put live web cams up in all the top 10 Lastminute.com destinations.....

could also have a party to celebrate the opening of the web cams, everyone all around the world coming together!

Idea 2... DONT NEGLECT YOUR SUITCASE....

So there are kind of 2 different ideas here... one is to put huge big pink suitcases up around London....... causing people to look, wonder what they are doing there...... go up close, name tag will say Lastminute...

And the second is a 'dont neglect your suitcase campaign' urging people to use their suitcases!

Idea 1.... Air Hostesses....

have people dressed as air hostesses at tube stations/ walking around london wishing travellers a safe and enjoyable journey.......
could also include safety demonstration showing how easy it is to book, complete with safety card style booking cards/ drinks trolley...... ???

RETHINKING.........

ok, so my idea isn't really strong enough, goodie bags add on too much expense.....
so I've been having a rethink........ and have come up with a few ideas....

please let me know what you think!

1) SUITCASES...
'don't neglect your suitcase'
put huge pink suitcases up all over london....
put up adverts showing photos of sad, un-used suitcases.... encourage people to use their suitcases!

2) LIVE WEBCAMS....
put up live webcams in all the top destinations of lastminute.com (Amsterdam, Barcelona, Madrid etc...) and project them in busy areas of London, to show whats going on at that moment in time all over the world, 'you could be here tonight/tomorow!"

3) PINK LASTMINUTE.COM AIR HOSTESSES
have people dressed as air hostesses at tube stations/bus stops wishing travellers a safe and enjoyable journey.......
could also include safety demonstration showing how easy it is to book, complete with safety card style booking cards/ drinks trolley...... ???

4) CHANGE TRAIN DESTINATIONS (and maybe buses??)
on tubes, change the destination on front to top 10 lastminute.com destination..... announcements about when and where next train will go... lastminute.com booths set up in stations where you can book.....

selling the 'pink package'.......

I found this website where they provide goodie bags for events, they customize the bags according to types of events......
this would be a involved though, but on lastminute.com there are hen and stag do's, romantic breaks, etc ......

Make people WANT to travel pink...........

The idea is that the customer gets first class treatment from the moment they step out of their front door......

A Lastminute.com car picks them up from home....... (a stylish car, not bright pink and tacky, but with enough branding on it)

Then takes them to airport/St Pancras....

The driver then presents them with a luxury travel goodie bag containing...

- a mini bottle of pink champagne
-mini box of chocolates
- a mini guide book/ map of their destination
- a pink travel pillow
-a voucher for their next lastminute.com booking/ lastminute.com offers magazine
- refreshing wipe?

could also have eye masks, sweets, pen, toothbrush, water, but I need to keep it LUXURIOUS! Not tacky!

Their seats will have had a pink headrest cover put on them, making the lastminute.com customers stand out.
Or bags could be waiting on seats. (but someone working on the train/plane wouldve had to do this.

And a driver awaits to pick them up after their journey to take them to their final destination/hotel.

The Pink Link

The idea is to have a pink travel service linking Europe, you get picked up by a pink lastmin.com cab, taken to the pink lastmin.com train, at at your final destination picked up by another pink cab, or maybe limo?

Pink Champagne will be served at the champagne bar at st pancras, and maybe pink food on the train???

So basically its a pink travel service - 'the pink link', not only do you travel in style but you travel in pink.

I want to connect Europe with a pink lastminute.com transport/travel service.......

Ive visited the new St Pancras International station, and think its a good place to start...

-It has Europes longest champagne bar, at 90m long!
-It had direct services to Paris, Brussels, Lille, Disneyland Resort, Avignon and Calias.
-'It is more than just a station, its a place to meet, eat and shop till you drop'.
-They describe it as 'European's Destination Station'.
